Another nice day today but some changes are coming as early as tonight. Winds are going to be picking up over the next 24 hours and will be gusty on your Tuesday and Wednesday. Below are two forecast images; one for tomorrow at 7pm and the other for Wednesday at 7pm. Notice that the winds are going to be between 25 and 45 knots at 850mb. Which means that they have the opportunity to be dragged down to the surface which could ignite gusts of over 50 mph. Also notice that the winds change direction between days signifying the passage of a cold front.
We will also be watching for the possibility of severe weather on Tuesday. This image shows forecasted cape for Tuesday evening. CAPE gives us a general idea of how severe weather could be, the higher the number, the better the chances.
The numbers across the state aren't that high but we don't want to rule it out.
