Cold Night & Start To Weekend Ahead

Cody talked about this below, but we'll go a little bit more into just what we're looking for as far as the chill for this mid-May weekend. Many records are in the upper 20s and lower 30s for low temperatures - and it's possible that some of those records will fall overnight.

That image above is another one of the computer model temperature maps I like to show. You can see some temperatures at least close to those upper 20s and lower 30s. Something you haven't seen me post yet - but I've been wanting to show you - is a map of *average* temperatures for overnight tonight.

See those mid-40s on that map? That is hypothetically what it *should* look like overnight for low temperatures. There are some warmer temperatures on the way - but they don't quite make it for the day on Saturday. We're looking for mainly highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s - which should feel cold. We are, however, looking for some sunshine - so keep that in mind as well!

It doesn't look bad for Saturday - just a little cooler than we'd like, with the average high for Sioux Falls being about 71 degrees as of Friday!

Have a good weekend!
