Looks like our short streak of dry days will be coming to an end today as showers and even a couple thunderstorms will be making their way in this afternoon. Here are two simulated radar images at 2pm and 11pm. Basically, these are two separate images of what this model thinks the radar will look like at those times.
The showers and storms make it to the Missouri River by around 2pm but take a while to get to I-29. They finally reach the corridor by about 11pm. Notice that these are scattered storms so doesn't look like everyone will get rain. But, if you happen to get under one of the isolated thunderstorms, you could pick up a quick half inch of rain.
Also, Its May which means you will be seeing a lot more of the map below. This is a map that shows the UV Index for the entire country.
The Eastern third of South Dakota is above a six because we are expecting more sunshine in those areas. Enjoy!
