Mothers Day

If you bought mom some plants or flowers today... I would keep them inside during the overnight hours because there's a good chance many regions could see frost during the overnight. Temperatures are going to be on the chilly side tonight, dropping below freezing (32 degrees) mainly north of Brookings. So if you are keeping those Mom's Day mums outside tonight, cover them up!
On a good note: Mother Nature is giving all mothers around our region a decent day as a present. We'll increase the temperatures and decrease the winds to just a very light breeze. But once again, we'll see some popcorn showers increase throughout the afternoon hours. Nothing too severe, a slight potential for dime sized hail, but mainly just some quick storms moving across the area. Similar story to what we saw today.

Relatively small and quick moving storms that produce moderate rainfall for roughly 10 mins producing around a tenth an inch of rain... a nice quick watering for some of those mother's day flowers!
