BRRR!!!

Clear skies and lower winds just let temperatures drop off significantly. Here were the lows this morning just before sunrise.

A VERY cold start for all the marathoners and half marathoners and relay marathoners in Brookings this morning. Start time for all three races was at 7am this morning and people were definitely layered up... hats, gloves, 3 long sleeve shirts, pants, running tights, I even saw one lady wearing a garbage bag as part of her outfit, not sure if that was to keep warm or just to be easily sighted.

Expect another cool one tonight, but not as cold as this morning. Some places in our viewing area could see some frost, it will be mainly in Minnesota. Freeze Watches (in blue) are in effect from 1am until 6am Sunday morning as we'll see another partly clear night with light winds.

Keep warm tonight and look forward to the warmup for Sunday and Monday.
