Weather Rollercoast Continues... Snow Update For Saturday

Well, it's Friday again, and we have another weekend-disturbing type of snow & mixed precipitation event on its way. We've been following it all week, and it's interesting to see the development of this system by going back and reading the posts of the last few days. It's also hard to write this post while it is partly cloudy outside and in the middle 40s after a day in the low 50s!

Here's what we're looking for out of this storm - with a timeline of events first:

The key thing to get out of that? Most of the snowfall accumulations will happen in the evening to overnight period. That is your period of concern if you have to be traveling around the region this weekend.

Now, as for those accumulations, here is what we are thinking for Saturday-Sunday as far as snowfall totals are concerned:

The key thing to remember, again, is most snow will occur overnight - but this is a tough one. We're sitting right on the line between rain and snow all day long, so don't be too surprised to see a few flakes fall earlier in the day and some switching of precipitation types going on.

Have a great weekend and make sure you check on our KDLT Weather Blog and Facebook page (just search for KDLT Weather on Facebook and you'll find the page or click here).
