We've been talking about it for a while now, and Cody explained some of the basic physics behind our warming of late - and now we are just waiting for the warmer temperatures to actually show themselves to us.
Look at what one computer model is thinking about temperatures as it mixes in rising average highs and rising average overnight low temperatures:
Look at those 60s shown on the computer models! Now for the bad news: we still have snow on the ground and some cold ground underneath. The computer models sometimes include that in their analysis, but not in this case. I am still going for some 50s come Thursday to the East, with some 60s around the Missouri River valley region.
Unfortunately we are still looking for a double-dose of cooling come this weekend. We're seeing two separate storm systems coming through - one on Saturday and one on Sunday. The one on Sunday is looking to be a bit more powerful. We'll see what happens over the next couple of days before starting to post anything more than just this first glance.
Have a good night and enjoy the warmer temperatures for Wednesday!
