It's been looking quite wet in the extended forecast, as Cody has mentioned, and we've both talked about for the past few days on our weather blog. It is sure looking interesting, and we've actually had to even start looking for signs of severe weather as well!
Well, here is our breakdown for what *should* happen - and we caution you that this is really early and you should keep a close eye on Jesse Ritka's forecasts over the weekend for all the latest.
Sunday:
You'll likely see some light drizzle throughout the day, with some periods of sun and some periods of thicker cloudiness. Toward the late afternoon and evening some people will start to see a few patches of just plain rain and light thunderstorms develop. Overnight into early Monday - that will change from drizzle and light rain (or just nothing!) to some decent amounts of rainfall toward the East.
Monday:
If you wake up to moderate to heavy rain and/or thunder, you'll likely see an end come. Things will look to settle down for a few hours - as winds start to build and our next system moves in from the West and the Southwest. Monday night? Round 2 begins. We'll be seeing another batch of storms move through as a warm and moist air mass moves in from the South. Expect another wet night Monday night into Tuesday.
Tuesday:
Rain chances continue. It is possible that the storm will start to break up into two batches - a northern batch and a southern batch. Both could potentially hit, depending on how the storm develops. If it develops in the right way then those in the back edge of the storm could see a few snowflakes mix in by late Tuesday/early Wednesday.
The final conclusion? You'll need one of these for all of those days:
Have a great night & weekend!
