Drizzle Tonight & Weekend Warmth

Cody mentioned the possibility of rain overnight tonight toward the South - it's still on track & now the question is how much we'll get and when.

What is seems like is any drizzle or rain in our area will hold off development until late tonight around midnight. Toward the morning commute hours we'll watch that band develop and move toward the South and the East. By around noon it should be gone and we'll see sun return - likely by the afternoon to early evening.

The bad news about the drizzle is that it kicks off a few days where we're only about 5-10 degrees above average instead of 15-20 degrees. If you think this month has been warm so far, you think correctly - we are averaging highs of nearly 40 degrees vs. highs averaging 38.0 last March. The difference is even larger when you see a list of the top 3 days of warmth last March vs. this March.

Last March:

1. 53
2. 53

3. 51

This March:

1. 70
2. 60
3. 54 (or today's high, so far up to 57)

Quite a difference, eh?

The good news? More warmth is going to return by Friday into Saturday and Sunday ahead of our next cooldown.

Those are computer model forecasted temperatures for Friday's highs - and look at that! By Friday we could be back up into the 50s and 60s! With more warming to come - it looks like another nice weekend.

Have a great night & don't forget about those light showers you could be seeing by tomorrow morning!
