Now that we are into the month of March, you would expect things to warm up a bit. Well, this week appears to be no exception as warmer temperatures are on the way. But the big question is how much of an impact will the recent snow have on our temperatures. Well, as I'm sure you noticed, the weekend was bitterly cold and would not have been that cold if we didn't have any snow. Here is a quick look at the current snow cover across the area. Keep in mind that these are just general estimates and your back yard amounts will vary.
Warmer temperatures are definitely on the way but will be held back because of all the snow. Here are the expected 850mb temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday.
These temperatures are expected to climb up to 6-10 degrees Celsius. Now if there was no snow on the ground, temperatures would likely be in the 50's and 60's toward the middle of the week. But with the large amount of cold snow on the ground in many areas, that really helps to keep the temperatures cooler, so we are looking for 30's, 40's, and some low 50's for the middle of the week. So if you haven't made a snowman yet, today and tomorrow may be the last day you can do that for some of us.
