Storm Passing to the South

That storm that Aaron was talking about still looks like it will pass just off to the south. Places like Lake Andes, Yankton, Vermilion, Sioux City, and Spencer. But at this point, it doesn't look like anything major would fall because all of the models have been trending south and now there is just one model that is showing snow accumulation in those areas. Here it is;This is the furthest north model the WRF, and it is showing a tremendous amount of snow in portions of Nebraska. But it doesn't show any accumulation north of a Yankton to Vermilion to Spencer line. The hardest hit area would be Sioux City with 1-2" which is practically nothing in the grand scheme of things. We have a pesky ridge of high pressure to thank for keeping most of us dry on Friday. I have circled it below.~KDLT Meteorologist Cody Matz
