New Things You May See

As you've seen on this blog and on our weathercasts, we've been showing quite a few still shots of several places along Interstate 90 as well as along Interstate 29. That's because the State of South Dakota agreed to let us use the still images from their road-side cameras. This is a map of all the cameras you may see images from, such as the truck that Aaron and Cody were so keen on pointing out. We'll be using these cameras to help give you a better idea of what the weather looks like across the state, and give us a better idea of progressing storm systems. Plus it's definitely a benefit if you do have travel plans.

You can check out these road-side cameras for yourself at http://safetravelusa.com/sd/camera_images.html
The DOT also stresses using 5-1-1 for travel information as well as the Safe Travel site: http://safetravelusa.com/sd/ It's a great resource!
