It feels like a heatwave has taken over! And Sunday is going to be even warmer. Normal temperatures around this time of year are between 48 in Aberdeen to 52 in Mitchell. But as you can see... we hit well above those high temperatures, ten to fifteen degrees in fact. Though it seemed warm for many, we're actually still about ten degrees below record setting temperatures. It certainly doesn't feel like November, but Southerly winds are bringing up a lot of the warmer weather. This warmer air is being brought up through all levels of the atmosphere. When this happens, we call it warm air advection, which means great weather for us during this time of year. We are also in a ridge pattern right now, which is responsible for keeping us dry. Big changes in the forecast for midweek though, so take advantage of this unseasonable weather while it lasts. Probably one of the last times you'll be able to hit up the golf course, roll the windows down or take that motorcycle for a spin. Don't forget to set your clocks back... you'll get an extra hour! I love when daylight saving time ends, I'll probably use my extra hour for sleep even though I should use it to be outside!
