The Winds Return.......A Little.

Over the past few weeks, the winds in South Dakota have been pretty calm, at least for our standards. Considering we are the 4th windiest state in the nation, you don't expect to go a few weeks without seeing a few windy days. Well, it looks like things are going to return to normal through the end of the week as the breezy conditions have finally returned. Winds should be sustained anywhere from 10-20 mph over the next couple of days and areas of the northeast could get gusts to 30 mph. Here is a quick look at the probability of seeing sustained winds of at least 15 mph over the next 3 afternoons. An even more noticeable aspect of the weather this week though will be the temperatures. They will be below average for much of the state right through the weekend.
