So this is the rainfall totals from this gloomy and rainy Friday - and it's still coming down. Showers will stick around for the AM on Independence Day but good news for all you who are looking forward to setting off some fireworks or watching the city displays. So here's your 4th of July forecast - for the most part it will be a cooler day with a clearing trend pushing the rain and clouds away from our area.

My only concern is the wet and still damp grass and ground - so if you are heading out to watch a fireworks display - I'd bring a tarp to put under your blanket so all that water we've been getting today doesn't put a DAMPer on your firework viewing experience.
Have a safe and fun fourth!
