Snow Totals and Estimates

Here's how much snow we saw from that quick southern system - most of it of course has been melting off since our temperatures have been in the 30s and 40s and even some 50s! And even though the northern portion of the viewing area missed out on this snow, everyone will be seeing some snow either Monday, Tuesday or even on both days. And this one could bring QUITE a bit of snowfall to the north - not like it's needed up there. This is just one model's prediction as far as snow totals go when this next weather maker is out of our region. That area of red is estimated accumulation of 12 to 16 inches. The areas in blue are 8-12 inches, the green and gray 4-8 inches and that's pretty much what it has in our forecast area. Tune in at ten for what I'm estimating - give you a hint - it's not THIS much. Of course this is still a few days out and the models are still a bit out of sync because some of the initializations are off from that last system that pushed through. We'll see how things set up over the next day or two. Cody and Aaron will be modifying the snow estimate map as time goes on.

Big cold snap after this system as you may expect but warmer weather for next weekend - and I'm excited for that!
