Ever Had A Headache From The Weather? Wondering How Warm It'll Get This Weekend?

Well, after a stormy and VERY cold period for this time of year, we are finally set to start a pretty nice warm-up. We've been watching and waiting for this one to arrive - and so far things are going right on schedule. Today we made it back into the 20s - which still puts us squarely below average. Our average high temperatures for this time of year are in the lower 40s, so 20s are a bit on the cold side.

The good news? Those temperatures are about to change significantly for the better. Look at this map of computer-model forecasted temperatures for Saturday. You can compare and contrast with those we have forecasted for Saturday on our KDLT.com website:

Remember that these types of maps aren't 100% accurate, and sometimes are more like 20% accurate - but the general trends are rarely inaccurate - especially only a couple of days out. The conclusion? You can expect at least middle 40s out there for most of the area by Saturday. After that? We continue to warm, but Sunday night you could potentially see a few patches of drizzle form.

Now, all of this cold weather might be giving you a headache lately... and I was scanning through some of the video we have access to by being an NBC affiliate at KDLT. This story below was an interesting one, and I'd be curious to know your thoughts:

Hopefully the extended forecast of warmth doesn't give you a headache!

Have a great night!

Getting aches and pains from weather is actually pretty common. Large variations in temperature and pressure can do a number on the body from mild aches and pains, muscle soreness, fatigue, and even to catching a cold or the flu. Its just one more way weather effects our everyday lives. This is Cody, and I personally dont think that I have ever had a headache that has been directly caused by the weather. But a better question to ask is how do you really know the cause of your ailment? Something to think about I guess.
