JazzFest Forecast... And A Discussion Of Record Cold In July

We'll start with the bad... or not bad - depending on your take on things. As I write this, and we'll change it if we need to - the Watertown area has set a new record low high temperature of 65 degrees. The old record low high for the day was 67 degrees. Sisseton got close as well, with a high so far of 68 degrees, with a record of 66 - so only 2 degrees above that. The cool weather looks to continue tomorrow as well, with a little bit of moderation into the 70 degree range.

As far as JazzFest is concerned... we started the timeline right at 6pm, because that is when the first concert of the night is.

You'll likely want to bring a light jacket along with your lawn chairs, because by the end of the last concert it is going to be chilly! At 10pm you can expect lower 60s already, and as of now I'm forecasting a low of 51 for early Saturday morning, so by the time you head home it may be in the 50s already.

Have a fun time if you head out there! I'll be trying to spend quite a bit of time there as well.
