4th Of July - Preliminary Breakdown

Well, the 4th of July holiday is fast approaching... but are storms? We've been looking for some isolated storms for a few days now, and that seems to be the trend. We broke it down a bit in a timeline for the 4th:

What we're picturing for the area - at least for right now due to a rapidly changing forecast the last few days - is this: One of those days where you see some sun and some patchy areas of light rain with an occasional clap of thunder or two.

The picture gets a little bit more murky the farther you get away from eastern South Dakota/southwest Minnesota. Make sure you check out KDLT tomorrow night to get an even better idea for what to expect this holiday weekend.
