A lot of rain fell from that last system, and like Cody said earlier this week, it's still needed in some spots as the drought monitor is still showing a few areas of abnormally dry conditions across our area. Jerry
Luckett from Mitchell actually sent us a rain report from his rain gage in his garden - he said from 5:30am on Friday morning through 8:00am this morning his meter read 3.5 inches of rain! Looks like you got under a pretty decent downpour from a
thunderstorm in addition to the consistent rain throughout the day.
For a more detailed fireworks forecast - I put together this timeline for Sioux Falls:
Basically there's still a chance for a few isolated showers across our area until about 8:30 tonight when things should start to clear up. Winds will be winding down as well so by the time we hit the 10 pm time period we'll be looking at partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with light winds and
temperatures in the 60s.
Enjoy the fireworks!
