Warmth? Well, At Least A Little Before Showers Friday

We saw a great day today in Sioux Falls and all across the eastern half of our viewing area. You probably weren't expecting that - and neither were we. A little bit drier of air than we were anticipating moved in, and the clouds from the West couldn't overcome it. That made for a gorgeous day for must of us - despite temperatures still about 10 degrees below average. It was nice to see the sun for a change!

You can see in the image above that there are some clouds out there - and if you watch us from the Pierre area or somewhere west of Sioux Falls you probably are wondering what all the fuss about sunshine is about... because you have clouds and showers moving in.

That map above is showing our radar view of the showers moving in. You can see light showers over the Pierre area - at least according to radar. Those will gradually move eastward overnight and into Friday, and by early Friday afternoon those of us in the far eastern edge of the viewing area should look for showers to move in.

The good news? They move out again. By Saturday we are looking for sunshine and temperatures in the middle to upper 70s!

Have a great night!
