Yesterday we saw a pretty odd-looking storm move over the Sioux Falls-area. As a line of severe thunderstorms started to die out, we had it pass over the area. That led to some odd-shaped storm cells and some great pictures - as this system's passage coincided with the sunset.

The picture above was from the south side of town in Sioux Falls - and you can see how dramatic the sunset made the dying thunderstorm look. Then you get to pictures sent in by Jason Bechler from Luverne - and he got a slightly different look from the east of Sioux Falls.

Very dramatic pictures all around. This might have been one of the cooler-looking storm passages I've seen - despite the fact that this storm wasn't a supercell storm as it passed over.

It looks like this week is on track to be a bit like the past few - not many big storms. It's possible we'll see a few thunderstorms, but don't look for anything too exciting for now. Remember to email us any interesting pictures you have to weather@kdlt.com or a_shaffer@kdlt.com.
Have a great night!
