Cutoff Low Shifting West

The low pressure that is responsible for the clouds and rain over the last 48 hours is beginning to make a move westward. I realize that sounds weird since our weather typically moves from west to east but this low is cutoff from the jet stream (the river of air high up in the atmosphere that controls where storms will move) and that is causing this low pressure to move in any direction it wants. Well its finally going to move out of our area for the latter half of your Sunday. When that happens, southerly winds will kick in and our temperatures look to remain above average most of next week.
