Warm weather made its way back into the area over the weekend - as you probably noticed. Saturday was an amazing day, with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Sunday was not quite as nice, but still warm - just some more clouds & showers out there. Looking ahead through the rest of this week some great temperatures look to be here to stay - at least in general.
Look at what the computer models are "thinking" for Tuesday (and know that for the most part we in the KDLT Weather Center agree with the computers) - how do 60s & 70s on the map look to you?:
Those yellows or darker yellows imply 60s to 70s - and look at that "warm tongue" (yes, that is actually a weather term) that is coming in from the South. That is for Tuesday -then things start to level out after that.
There is a brief cooldown that is possible toward the end of the week:
These highs would be valid for Saturday afternoon - but you'll notice they really aren't too bad. mid to upper 50s? I think just a week ago we'd take that over anything we had been seeing, so thankfully it looks like spring might just be here to stay. Make sure you read Cody's post below, though, if you are thinking we are *totally* done with any freezing temperatures.
Have a great night!
