With that being said, it looks like snow has shifted toward the West a bit - with most happening around NW South Dakota, rather than in the Missouri River Valley. Here's one computer model's thoughts on snowfall accumulation through early Thursday morning:
You can see over South Dakota that the larger area of potential snowfall accumulations have moved farther toward the West. We'll be seeing just how much things shift in reality as we head into tomorrow. Keep yesterday's post in mind should more snow sneak its way in - but for now it looks like this storm is building farther toward the West than the models originally indicated. Just another part of the fun of winter forecasting. It definitely keeps us on our toes from about September until severe weather season starts!Have a good night!

Hey KDLT - just want to shoot you a note saying you all do a good job on things. Nobody can predict the weather perfectly, but you all seem to do better than the rest of them. Keep it up!
