We saw some darn cold temperatures last night! I've been getting email reports and emails of sympathy from viewers (the temperature reports) and friends and family (sympathy for the cold). Most of my family is in the Midwest, though, so they don't really feel bad for me since it was cold wherever they are too. Anyhow, we put together a list of official record low temperatures:
We had a viewer email us from Glenham (east of Mobridge) and report low temperatures from his thermometer or -47 & -43. Yikes!
In Sioux Falls we hit -26, and that felt pretty cold. Here's something some of you may have noticed if you use an older mercury-based non-digital thermometer:
It's kind of hard to measure temperatures when your thermometer doesn't go low enough to handle the lows we saw! Yikes!
Hopefully you'll take the time to read Cody's post from this morning about our warm-up coming! We might be seeing temperatures in the 50s out to the West by early next week!
Have a great night!
