Storm Update!!

The winter storm that was supposed to stay mainly south of us today and tonight has decided to shift further north. And you know what that means; MORE snow for us! Now at this point, it doesn't look like a tremendous amount of snow, but definitely enough to cause some travel delays. So why are we getting all of this snow so suddenly? Well, just 24 hours ago, forecast models were calling for little if any snow. Well, they have pulled a 180 because here is what just a couple are forecasting now.
Now, there isn't a snowfall legend with these but here are some of the colors; yellow, pink , and blue are areas with less then 3 inches. Green to Dark Blue areas are 4-10 inches. And as you can see, many areas are not expecting to see more then a couple of inches. But, the models are picking up on a couple possible areas that could see some heavy snow and one of them is Sioux Falls. So it looks like most people will get 2-4" but for some of us, 4-7" could be on its way.
