So if you wanted that winter storm, I'm sorry, but the dynamics apparently don't like us... looks like this one will stay mainly to the South and East of us... by this model above... looks like Kansas and parts of Missouri and Illinois could see 10-15 inches of snow but these models have been pretty inconsistent lately, I actually think that Iowa and Illinois will get the higher amounts of snow.
As for us, this is what I'm forecasting from Monday evening until Tuesday morning. The heavier snow will be during the overnight hours as things are looking right now, and the snow pushes East, we could see some light snow lingering in the Southeast part of the viewing area. As always, isolated higher amounts are possible. We may even bump these totals if we don't see as much freezing rain as we're expecting. These types of forecasts are always tricky ones since totals could go either way depending on the air masses.
If you really want a dumping of snow... check out "model fantasy land" as we say in the weather world, if this area of low pressure intensifies, we could see some better measurable snow. Keep checking in to see how it pans out.
