Over the next couple of days we get a couple of weaker storm systems coming through - or at least weak in terms of precipitation totals. We're going to be seeing the first wave come through overnight toward the Pierre-area, and then toward Sioux Falls by the morning to early afternoon hours. You can probably expect somewhere in the ballpark of 0.05" to 0.10" of rain out of this.
This is what it's looking like from Rapid City's radar as of about 6:20pm on Wednesday night:
What you can see from this is that this little patch of very light rain is closing in on Pierre - with more to come. Here's a pretty generic plan of what you can expect if you are checking us out in the Sioux Falls area. Just add or subtract time as appropriate if you live somewhere else in the Sioux Empire:
Basically, there are 2 systems that will affect you at different times of 2 days. Don't expect much accumulation of snow if any - just a few flurry patches or extremely light snow at most.
Have a great Wednesday night!
