Snow is on the Way

Today will be a little decieving as we are expecting highs in the 40's this afternoon across much of the area. But dont let your guard down because we are expecting snow as early as this evening. At this point, it looks light, but travel will still be impacted because we have come to that point in the year where the snow will stick to the roads. Please be cautious if you are out driving tonight or tomorrow morning. As I said before, not expecting a lot of snow but the map below shows the probability that areas of the U.S. will see at least 1 inch of snow.
Now here is the probability that areas of the U.S. will see at least 4 inches of snow.So as you see by these graphics, the I-90 corridor has the best chance of seeing snow with anywhere between 50-65%. This may not sound like a high probability but its pretty good for a snowfall forecast, especially with an Alberta Clipper. But, amounts will stay light because there is virtually no chance of seeing more then four inches of the white stuff, at least according to this model. So, pull out the shovel again because it looks like there will be just enough to put it to use.
