Alright, so we hate to bring this up... but there is snow in the forecast.
We're going to be following this next system pretty closely - the one following our warm-up. We're seeing signs of a lot of precipitation - and some surface temperatures that will put it close to the mixed/rain type, rather than snow. For now we will anticipate snow, and give you some details on the whole situation:
Think of the above image as "future radar." This storm system looks to give us anywhere from about half an inch to an inch of liquid water - which if that is rain would be fairly manageable. If it falls as snow, then that will be another story. We'll be watching. Here's another thing to keep in mind as well... surface temperatures:
Surface temperatures for Monday morning showing a warm-up. We can still see snow even if we're above freezing - so keep that in mind. What we're going to be keeping a close eye on are the temperatures at about 850mb, or about 2/3 of a mile into the atmosphere. Hopefully for people who do not like snow or ice, we will see above freezing temperatures at both the surface and all the way up - that way things will fall as rain. If not, we could end up with quite a bit of snow...
Before all of that arrives, make sure to enjoy the next couple of days! Temperatures are still holding steady as to how we talked about last night. Make sure you read that blog post below as well!
Have a great night!
