Freaky Foggy Friday - Say THAT 5X Fast!

A very foggy start to the morning today all along the I-29 corridor, you can barely see the Big Sioux River on our Sioux Falls Skycam. That's because we have a lot of moisture out ahead of a cold front that will move across the state during the day today.
This is the national water vapor image with radar on top as well. I circled where all of the water vapor is located that is providing the moisture for all of this fog. You can see just to along the NW edge of that circle is a line of rain showers that will ring out this moisture in the form of rain showers. We're not looking at a washout day by any means, rain showers will just be located along the front as it moves across the state, bringing a tenth of an inch to a quarter of an inch into those rain gages.
Check out the Nor'easter along the Atlantic coast too, a lot of wind and rain associated with the remnants of Ida.
Drier but cooler weekend ahead, temperatures finally edging back to where they should be this time of the year.
