Welcome December

November past and December welcomed us with cold temperatures and white grounds. Snow has been light in many locations over the past several days but that is about to change. The old weather pattern from the northwest which causes light snow showers and little accumulation is going to disappear for awhile, as a stronger more prevalent system from the southwest will move closer to our area and bring us a good shot of heavier snow and decent snowfall totals. Latest models are going to center this system in Kansas and it is going to pump moist air over the cold air in place to dump up to 6+ inches of snow, especially to the Southern viewing areas.

As the models are indicating that the heaviest snowfall will move into our area by Tuesday midday and linger until Tuesday night or Wednesday early morning.

So if you like the white stuff and bitter temperatures you'll love the forecast the next couple of days!
