The road woes continue this morning. Here is the current road map from Safe Travel USA. Hopefully you don't have to travel too much during the day today, though this isn't a blizzard or a big snow event by any means, this snow is causing several accidents - more than 80 were reported in Sioux Falls alone yesterday. This is a look at the snow depth map, many of us have seen an inch or less of snow so far, so just light snow showers have started adding up a bit. A few patches of black ice have been reported this morning as well, Cody explained why in his last post. Here's another look at why the slippery conditions are around:The snowpack temperature isn't where it should be, due again to the ground being too warm, so expect snow to melt on the roads resulting in scattered snow spots and and ice. Take your time on the roads.
